Jason Young

Young is an Assistant Professor of Architecture at the University of Michigan, where he has a design+build studio. He is a contributing co-editor of Stalking Detroit, an anthology of assessments, essays, and observations that seek to offer a thick description of America's most thoroughly modern city, Detroit (forthcoming from ACTAR Press, Barcelona).

John Hartigan

Hartigan is the author of Racial Situations: Class Predicaments of Whiteness in Detroit (Princeton, 1999). He has published articles in Cultural Studies, American Anthrpologist, and Social Text. He is currently working on a new book for Duke entitled Odd Tribes: White Trash, Whiteness, and Other Troubling Figures.
