AS 2010: Introduction to American Culture fulfills the Civilizations & Societies requirements for majors in the College of Liberal Arts and the College of Science.

DEGREE REQUIREMENTS: Candidates must complete 120 credits in course work including satisfaction of the University General Education Requirements and the College of Liberal Arts Group Requirements, as well as the major requirements cited below. All course work must be completed in accordance with the regulations of the University and the College governing undergraduate scholarship and degrees. The American Studies director and faculty encourage students to develop an individual focus for their majors. You, with advice from the program director, will organize your curriculum, drawing upon courses from no fewer than three departments. A major concentration in American Studies consists of 45 credits--a minimum which are required.
